I have a suggestion for the base system. Use Risus. It's freely available online. My figuring is it would work like this:

For character creation the player would divide 10 dice among Anime Stereotypes, with none higher than 4 or lowerthan 1.

Then they would divide 10 dice among Meka Stereotypes, with none higher than 4 or lower than 1.

Anti-Mech characters could have a mech-fighting stereotype, but it counts as one of their Anime Stereotype, and they don't get any Meka Stereotypes. As a general rule, Anime Stereotypes (besides a mech-fighting stereotype) are treated as Innapropriate Cliches when being used against mecha.

For all intents and purposes when piloting their mecha the players use their Meka stereotypes (though I suppose some cross-stereotyping may occur).

The trick would be adding Fan Rage, Gar, Dignity, Plot Armor, and Over/Down Limits. However I feel like it could be done. I fooled with some ideas but they were mostly lame variations on group voted drama points type stuff.

This looks so damned awesome I shat bricks. If I come up with anything to help out, I'll post it. Good luck guys! Uriel

Isn't the whole point that characters use things that are not specialized for mech-fighting, since the writer ostensibly thinks he's writing "the seminal piece on love and loss in a time of war" or whatnot? I mean, you don't do well in a fight because you're good at fighting, you do well because you believe in yourself, or have someone precious to you whom you want to protect, stuff like that. --Axiomatic 05:33, 7 August 2007 (EDT)Axiomatic
